Come and learn about people and events from Welsh history in this special interactive workshop; stories of oppression and freedom, adventures and rebellion, tragedy and celebration.
The session is based on 10 Stories from Welsh History (That Everyone Should Know), a book aimed at educating the children of Wales about their nation’s history. During the workshop, pupils will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with characters and events that have shaped our country and to bring one of the stories to life in class. From Gwenllian to Dic Penderyn, from Black Bart to Aberfan, join us as we look back at our past and dream of tomorrow’s history.
This workshop is a great way to practically explore 10 Stories from Welsh History (That Everyone Should Know) by Ifan Morgan Jones and illustrations by Telor Gwyn, using the expressive arts. The book is a feast for the brain, heart and eyes, and is full of maps, illustrations and small peaks of entertaining information.
