Dic Penderyn – The People’s Hero

We’ll take you back to Victorian times at Merthyr Tudful, 1831, in the company of Dic Penderyn.

Learn about working conditions in the iron works during a period of hardship and oppression under the rich and powerful masters. A protest is about to take place and Dic Penderyn, and thousands of his co workers, raise their voices to demand change. But the rebellion fails and Dic Penderyn has to pay the ultimate price.

An activity pack, full of ideas for further study, is available to accompany the performance – visit our shop to find out more.

Presenting Welsh history with fun and excitement.
