William Jones – The man who introduced ∏ to the World

A show that weaves history, fun and equations!

In this interactive show, aimed at year 7 and 8 pupils, students will learn about the bright mathematician from Anglesey, William Jones, who introduced the ‘pie’ symbol to the world. As well as learning about the importance of pie to our modern lives, they will also help William Jones to solve everyday problems.
The show’s been written to align with the mathematics curriculum and to support students in developing numerical reasoning and to help prepare for the National Numeracy (Reasoning) Test.
